Latest Illustration Mission

Our latest project is on maps. I'm doing some mysterious crime scenes. It looks like it's up to you, dear blog readers, to work out who murdered the Earl of Boswell and Lady Dryden!

A Wild Blog Update Appears!

Since I was getting a new iPod, I decided it needed a new case. I'd previously been using an awesome sticker by Ric Stultz. But this time I thought I'd make my own.

This was a little off-shoot from the latest project we have on the course. It's based on the figure, and involves creating a 3D sculpture. It's hardly my strong suit, but I'm giving it a go. I'll post more when the project finishes in a couple of weeks.

Stress, Relax, Repeat

The little robot may be talk a big game, but his eyes are begging for a moonlit stroll along the beach.

So the first term of Illustration is drawing to a close- this is the last week and then we have a study trip to London, which should be good to see some shows, some friends, and some of the illustration industry.

But before all that we have to get through this week of assessments, presentations and deadlines. Very dull. And hard, considering the amount of work we have had piled on this term. I won't go into details, suffice to say none of us like it very much.

In slightly more awesome news, I like this comic.

GET OFF MY BACK ALRIGHT I'LL POST SOME BETTER AND MORE RELEVANT ARTWORK SOON. SHIT.

Blog update, I choose you!

Thought I should do a quick update with some more of the projects we have been doing at uni- first, a self portrait project. The first is how people see me, the second, how I would like people to see me. Very tongue-in-cheek, I'm not actually this self-centered.

Also, three of the characters from my Illustrated Book project- "Colonel Fazackerly Butterworth-Toast", and Fitcham and Frederick.

As If From Nowhere- An Update!

Apologies for the very long delay. Summer is over, I have moved back down to Falmouth and into a house with cool cool people, and have started the first term of a three year Illustration degree. Hooray for me. Behold! The first project we were set- mapping out Falmouth high street.

Summer Sketch Dump

Okay not all of this was done since I got home because I'M A VERY LAZY HUMAN BEING. But at least I'm updating the blog (finally). So quit your complaining, Jim and Finn.

...And finally, Michael Dryden.
